Hi friends! It has certainly been a minute, but I’m excited to be checking in after a whirlwind summer and a hectic start to fall – in the best way possible. The past few months have been filled with travel, friendship, and some exciting life changes, all of which were much-needed and super energizing.
I started a new job and moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend last month, and while there’s more change coming later this fall, that is plenty for now! Now that I finally have a second to breathe, I thought I’d share a few of our favorite finds that made our new apartment feel like home right away.
Starting with the Basics: Furniture That Sets the Tone:
While I love a blank slate, it can feel overwhelming to start from scratch when decorating a new space. That’s why my first go-to is always Wayfair. They have such a variety of options at lower price points – and most importantly, everything ships quickly.
We kicked things off with this couch, which I like to think of as a Cloud Couch look for less. It’s super comfy and adds that cozy, neutral base we were looking for. Next up: my new favorite rug, which really helped tie the living room together.
To add some personality (and storage!), I was thrilled to find these ladder shelves. They’ve been the perfect spot to display books, candles, and little decorative touches that make the space feel ours.
And of course, we needed a high-quality dining set that felt stylish but sturdy. This one hit all the marks without breaking the bank.
Mixing Luxury with Comfort
When it came to the bedroom, we decided to level things up a bit.
We grounded the space with this stunning rug, then splurged on the King-size Thuma bed – which I’m pleased to report truly lives up to the hype. It’s sturdy, sleek, and shockingly easy to assemble. Paired with the AllModern soft-close nightstands and Soleil dresser, our bedroom now feels like a peaceful, grown-up retreat.
But the real star of the show? The Cozy Earth bamboo sheet set. I’ve never experienced anything like them – they’re silky, breathable, and have turned our bed into an actual oasis. I genuinely dream about crawling into them every night.
A Cozy Home with Just a Few Key Pieces
It’s wild how just a few thoughtful purchases can transform a new apartment into a cozy, lived-in space. From budget-friendly finds to small splurges, every item we brought in added a layer of comfort and personality. And just like that, it already feels like home… but there’s plenty more Homegoods trips in our future. Happy shopping and happy Fall! 🍂
